Directed by Mac C. Alejandre, the brilliant man behind the 2009 box office hit Ang Panday, IN YOUR EYES features the country's most bankable drama actress, Claudine Barretto. This is also the first-ever movie team-up of former reel- and real-life couple Anne Curtis and Richard Gutierrez. The film will be shot mostly in the U.S.

With their father succumbing into depression after their mother's death, Ciara (Claudine Barretto) acts as a parent to her sister, Julia (Anne Curtis). The two are very close. When Ciara goes to America to work as a physical therapist, she continues to provide for all of Julia's needs. Julia, on the other hand, lives a fast life and meets Storm (Richard Gutierrez), a struggling photographer. Their relationship blossoms. When Julia goes to America on a student visa, Storm joins her there, without a definite plan.

Julia and Storm struggle as illegal aliens in America. To obtain an immigrant status, a hesitant Storm marries Ciara, who is now an American citizen. Ciara, Storm and Julia need to live in one house in case the INS makes surprise inspections. A friendship is forged between Storm and Ciara because she is truly the woman who is supportive of Storm's dreams. Soon enough an affair develops. Julia finds out about it. Ciara gives up her personal happiness and leaves Storm.

Storm and Julia go back to the Philippines to try to work out the relationship, but Storm knows he is in love with Ciara. This time, it's Julia who makes a sacrifice. She gives up Storm for Ciara. Julia decides to return to America to reconcile with her sister. Ciara sends Storm divorce papers. In the end, destiny finds its way to bring together true love. But with whom?

Petrang Kabayo kicks off the set

Viva Films has released some tidbits on the upcoming movie Petrang Kabayo on their official website.And I quote:

Viva Films offered Vice Ganda the remake of the 1980s film “Petrang Kabayo”.“Perfect timing”. Direk Wenn Deramas proudly told Viva that the idea emerged in the perfect time, with the discovery of the pure talent of Vice Ganda. The character suits Vice Ganda’s charisma in launching his first ever-solo movie.

“Minsan meron kang i-la-launch na tao sa maling panahon, tapos after 20 years, tsaka naaapreciate yung pelikula. Hindi ko naman pwedeng ipagawa sa kanya ang Kambal sa Uma dahil walang makakaappreciate na daga siya, diba. So, kabayo, ginawa lang naming pelikula”, wittingly stated by Direk Wenn Deramas.

Months ago, Vice Ganda announced in his noontime show, “Showtime”, that he will be starring the lead role in the 1980s film, “Petrang Kabayo”. Now, the comedian-host has resumed filming the scenes of his first major film with Direk Wenn Deramas.

Jose Mari Viceral, popularly known as Vice Ganda, told Viva that the remake of Petrang Kabayo is different from Roderick Paulate’s original film. Besides the transformation, he assured that people would be delighted with hilarious one-liners and jokes.

Petrang Kabayo is the 80’s film of the rude Petra who was condemned into a white horse as Silveria, the goddess of horses cursed him because of his rude behavior.

Vice Ganda reflected on the remake, “Marami akong natutunan na nangyari sa buhay ko na nakita ko dito sa pelikula na hindi ko napapansin na nangyayari sa buhay ko, dito ko lang narealize sa pelikulang ito.”

The Showtime resident judge relates his film debut with his noontime show “Showtime” in performing his role in the film. “...sa Showtime ganun din, kung ano ang intensyon at purpose ng movie, kailangan iserve namin.”

Petrang Kabayo will definitely pull you off your chair this September.

When Michelle accidentally steps on a sea urchin, she meets Ben, who suggests that someone should pee on her foot to relieve her of the pain.The two instantly hit it off despite their apparent differences. Ben is a vegetarian while Michelle is a carnivore. Ben doesn’t have any vice while Michelle loves to intoxicate herself with alcohol. But their passionate personalities bring them together that they learned to love and accept each other.
